When you open a Word document. The document is ready for you to type in.
Entering text in Word document is very similar to using a typewriter.

A blank white area in the middle of the screen, it looks like a sheet of paper. This is called a document.
Here you can enter the text and save the document for future reference or modifications.

When you start to type at the insertion point, the page will begin to fill, starting from the upper-left corner.

To insert a blank space, spacebar key is used.
And to move to the next line ENTER key is used
